AIFA has been invited to take part in AI and the Arts: Where Do You Draw the Line?, part of the ART-I research project. This interdisciplinary initiative, involving universities including Southampton, Nottingham, King's College London and Warwick, examines how artists integrate or resist AI in their practice while staying true to their values.

This full-day programme includes discussion, creative experimentation, and artistic production. Participants will reflect on personal experiences, explore responsible AI, and produce new work for public display in Nottingham in 2025–26. It follows a series of shadowing events, documenting artists at work in their studios.

The workshop explores questions such as:

• How are artists integrating AI into their creative practice?
• What boundaries do artists set when using AI tools?
• How can we ensure ethical and responsible use of AI in artistic contexts?
• What new opportunities emerge at the intersection of traditional art practices and AI?

This is an invitation-only event with limited capacity. Selected participants will contribute to an important research initiative that will shape understanding of AI's role in the arts.
